Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
Erin has been CSCS certified since 2005. This certification is a gold standard in the exercise industry and identifies individuals who possess the knowledge and skill to develop safe and effective strength and conditioning programs. Utilizing her CSCS Erin has been a strength coach for individual athletes and various sports teams.
Erin’s educational experiences were focused in outpatient orthopaedic and sports rehabilitation. While at the University of Puget Sound, she conducted research on exercise adherence in an elderly population. The results were used as part of a Fall Prevention study by the Washington State Department of Health. Erin also conducted research while at Northern Arizona University on the prevention of childhood obesity through the concepts of “play” as exercise. She has worked as a strength coach for adolescent athletes and as a senior fitness specialist. Erin strongly believes in preventive care.
Bainbridge Island Physical Therapy focuses on treating the source of the patient’s problem. Patient education and involvement are hallmarks of our treatment philosophy. We strive to help to make the rehabilitation process a pleasure by offering a comfortable and relaxed setting with open channels of communication with your physician.
Erin played competitive soccer, including 2 years at the University of Puget Sound. She enjoys running; biking; hiking; camping; and spending time with friends and family. Erin also enjoys various artistic pursuits including drawing, painting and photography.
